SOLAR PUMPS

Solar pumps have a few variations in terms of technology and functionality, we prefer the Lorentz range for quality and reliability purposes. They have a wide range of models available that cover most applications, from 150w to 100kW.

The pumps up to 4kW are 3-phase brushless, permanent magnet DC motors, from the 7-100kw the pumps are 3-phase AC motors with the Lorentz VSD’s. There are remote monitoring and controlling solutions for all pumps and these allow you to track the yields, adjust flow rates and more, there are various options of monitoring and control available.

SUBMERSIBLE SOLAR PUMP SOLUTIONS

The solutions consist of pump and motor combination, with a controller and PV modules. The range of pumps cover all ranges of head heights and flow rates. These are divided into two main categories: helical rotor and centrifugal pumps.

These pumps offer the best results in high head height low flow rate applications with cleaner water.

SURFACE SOLAR PUMP SOLUTIONS

The surface pump range is all centrifugal type pumps. In most cases the preference is made to submersible pumps over surface pumps. Some of these pumps do very high volumes at low head heights. Up to 5.4 Mega cubic meters per day, they range from 150W-100KW.

PS2 RANGE

150w range up to 150m and 1.3 m^3 per hour

SOLAR POOL

PUMP SOLUTIONS

The pool pump range offers two pumps and they are also part of the Brushless 3-phase DC motor range. They are direct replacements for conventional pool pumps and outlast and outperform any pool pump on the market.

PS2 RANGE

12M and 18 m^3 per hour this could serve pools with up to 60 cubic litres per day easily.

14M and 36 m^3 per hour this could serve pools with up to 120 cubic litres per day easily.

HYBRID PUMP SOLUTIONS

The Lorentz range of pumps are specifically designed for off-grid solar water pumping; however energy sources can be integrated to allow for longer pumping hours if more storage tanks do not combat the challenge.

The addition of batteries is allowed on some of the smaller pumps that have a nominal voltage within 12-48 volts as this is the conventional voltage range for MPPT solar charge controllers.

The addition of AC from generators of utility is also possible, on the smaller pumps up to 4kw, the use is made of Power packs, these convert the AC supply to DC to enable power the three phase DC pumps. On the larger scale the smartPSUK2 is used, this can be coupled with the smart start from Lorentz to stop and start generators or drive contactors to enable mains to run with the pumping systems.

The possibilities are endless and 24-hour pumping can be achieved where required. Instead of a generator a conventional AC PV hybrid system can also be incorporated.

This eliminates the cost and maintenance affiliated with running a generator.

SPECIAL APPLICATIONS

SMART TAP

Smart water dispensing system for

public water points

This solution offers the deployment of water in a controlled manner to minimize wastage. The user has an NFC tag which is linked to each customer, this holds credit that can be recharged via a local seller or charged directly from a mobile app.

The system is linked to HUB that is connected online via GSM, multiple dispensers can be added to the hub using LoRaWAN. All data is transmitted to a Cloud based management system that allows for all technical information like financial and usage information about the solution to be monitored from a platform.

The unit runs on its own battery and solar module, making it an off-grid solution. These units are compatible with all the Lorentz pumps and can also be used with any other manufacturers pumping solution.

MONITORING & CONTROL

DATA MODULE &

PUMP SCANNER

This units Is built into all PS2 controllers and allows full control over and monitoring of all system parameters via Bluetooth connection, stores up to 10 years’ worth of data and is all done seamlessly via an android application.

PS COMMUNICATOR &

PUMP MANAGER

The PS communicator is one of the accessories one can add to any system, this allows for the unit to be controlled and monitored remotely, this is achieved by GSM communication and is an invaluable resource for critical pumping applications.
